Sunshine Timber Flooring is located at 177 Parramatta Rd Auburn NSW 2144 Tel.02- 9748 3447, timberfloor@hotmail.com, www.sunshinetimber.com.au, though I can't seem to log onto their web site. Super helpful and they will come & lay the timber for only $20.00 per/m2 which I feel is a fabulous price.
I choose a lovely Jarrah colour timber and you can see from the photos below the look is superb.
The boys from Sunshine turned up super early on Monday morning as they wanted to have the whole floor finished in a day, I doubted them and left Tuesday free just in case.
They got stuck into it straight away and worked like trojans all day without a stop. This is an interesting piece of machinery; it creates the secret nail effect. It works on a compressor and you wack the black button with a very heavy hammer and it shoots a staple straight into the floor. They also used hard as nails, super strong, super fast drying for the edges that they couldn't work with the staple gun.
These two were just powering along, it was so early we had to put a light on, got to love that!
The timber flooring will cover one side of the Cottage including the mini hall leading to Bedrooms 2 & 3 plus the Bathroom. The bedrooms will have carpet though haven't decided on the style or colour as yet.
Now here is a little something from me, I just had to have this tile at the front door, it was given to me and as soon as I had it in my hands I knew I wanted it to become the pride of the entrance to this lovely Cottage. Something to say welcome with style and a splash of class.
This tile is a 19mm thick slab of pure Italian Emperador Marble with the most wonderful colours and vains.
I had to edge it with alloy right angle around the 3 sides which I secured with Sikaflex and taped down to allow to dry. Then I placed it at the front door just sliding it under the Merbau timber step fixing it with tile glue and a sign 'Do Not Walk On'
I know you will love it as well.
The boys just kept going; they wanted to go home tonight!!!
The formal Lounge room
The Breakfast area next to the Kitchen
We all took photos of each other; they were going to send them to the family back home, how sweet.
This timber floor will look just perfect when you step out onto the deck as it is also a red colour.
And yes they finished the same day, shook hands, nodded and flew off into the sunset.
I swept up after they left and placed cardboard down to help protect this wonderful new floor, it is so good to see it finally happen and look so fine that I nearly cried ;-)
